YOUR ARC
As Lead Programmer, you will be the technical conductor, bridging the gap between high-level creative vision and robust technical execution behind a world class AAA RPG. You will guide a team of talented engineers to architect and implement complex game systems, from branching quest logic to deep combat mechanics ensuring they are scalable, performant, and stable across high-end consoles and PC. You are a technical expert with mastery in Unreal Engine 5, a dedicated mentor and a collaborative partner to design, art, animation and production.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of programmers, conducting code reviews, setting code standards and fostering professional growth
- Lead design and development of core RPG systems including AI, character progression, inventory, and world persistence
- Evaluate feature feasibility and ensure technical foundations support the creative vision
- Establish engineering tasks and schedules in coordination with production, identifying technical risks and meeting key milestones
- Drive engine level enhancements to ensure the game maintains high performance and stability across hardware
- Work with external partnerships on technical execution and integration into engine
- Evaluate new technology to determine if it can streamline our pipelines
Qualifications and Experience
- Mastery of C++, including memory management, multi-threading, and data-oriented design
- 8+ years of game development experience with 2 shipped AAA titles in a Senior/Lead capacity
- Engine mastery with Unreal Engine
- Extensive experience with automation and machine learning techniques
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- A deep understanding of RPG mechanics and player expectations

- The hiring range for this position is $160,000 - $220,000 in addition to a bi-yearly performance-based bonus. The base pay may vary depending on the candidate’s region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
